# Get index candlesticks

GET https://www.okx.com/api/v5/market/index-candles

Retrieve candlestick (OHLC) data of an index. Index candles do not include a volume field.

## Request

### Query parameters

- `instId` (string, required) — Index, e.g. BTC-USDT.
- `bar` (string, optional) — Bar size / time interval, e.g. 1m, 5m, 1H, 1D. Default 1m.
- `after` (string, optional) — Pagination: return records earlier than the requested ts (Unix timestamp in ms).
- `before` (string, optional) — Pagination: return records newer than the requested ts (Unix timestamp in ms).
- `limit` (string, optional) — Number of results per request. Maximum 100, default 100.

- `code` (string, optional) — Result code. `0` means success; any other value is an error code.
- `msg` (string, optional) — Error message. Empty on success.
- `data` (list of list of any, optional)
